Vintage Sterling Turquoise Fred Harvey Era Cuff Bracelet

  
THIS DESCRIPTION WAS REVISED 7/16/2021. Age of Item - Antique/Vintage. Condition - good condition (polished) light scratches due to wear and age.

Inside Circumference - 5 1/4 (end to end) B. Gap Opening - 1 1/4. Width across bracelet - 2 1/4.

Width from top to bottom - 1 7/8. Band width of bracelet - 1/2" where the turquoise is and 1/4" on the ends. Weight - 19.00 Grams. Precious Metal - Marked sterling and confirmed to be sterling by acid test.

Design & Engraving - Please look at pics. Gemstone - 15 sky blue turquoise (1/4" x 1/8"). Because the bracelet has only a sterling stamp, our opinion is that it's Fred Harvey.

We do not know if it was made by a native Indian for the Fred Harvey company or by Fred Harvey company. Our opinion's made about the jewelry we sell is so we can be as correct and honest about our description as we can. It was not until 1961 when it became mandatory to put a makers stamp and purity mark on jewelry. Native American Stamp & Hallmark Info -There are no exact dates when "Sterling" was first used on Native American jewelry.

Opinions vary but is suggested after 1932. Most Native American items from 1930's and before would not have a Sterling or 925 stamp or a Artist hallmark. There are exceptions to this. Some items made in the 1940's-1950's may have used the Sterling stamp. In general the Sterling and or "925" stamp with a artist hallmark since the 1950's was and is still used today.
