Collectible 1st edition octagonal salad plate by MacKenzie-Childs in the MacLachlan pattern, c. Pattern features hand-painted black and white band with a green and purple rope trim with a central printed landscape, back is printed with the Victoria and Richard 1990 Mackenzie-Childs, Ltd mark, 1990 and the pattern MacLachlan. Measures 8" x 5 1/2" and is in Mint condition, never used, free of nicks, fleabites, scratching or wear. A wonderful piece for use or display! The plate blanks were made off sight at an Ohio factory of porcelain china where the decals were applied.

The decals were taken from original paintings that were submitted to the factory to make decals that would fit to each plate shape. The scene on this dinner plate is of the studio house, old 2nd shop and factory barn in the background. All items come from a smoke free home.
