The body is machined from a C360 brass, giving the tool excellent stability and wear resistance. The O1 tool steel blade, with its 1-1/4 (32mm) wide cutting edge, is set bevel-down at a 50° angle, striking a perfect balance between cutting efficiency and control. Sapele hardwood handles complete the tool, providing a comfortable grip and a natural look. Each handle is first treated with boiled linseed oil to highlight the grain, then sealed with shellac and waxed for a smooth, durable finish. Making it perfect for shaping concave surfaces and navigating tight curves with ease. Measuring 10 (25.5cm) in overall length, this spokeshave is built to last and be a joy to use! A Flat-Sole version, ideal for shaping flat and gently curved surfaces, is also available separately or as a bundle in my shop.
