The body of this spokeshave is machined from a solid piece of C360 brass, offering exceptional stability and wear resistance. The blade, crafted from O1 tool steel, features a 1-1/4 (32mm) wide cutting edge and is mounted in a bevel-down configuration at a 50-degree angle. This setup provides an ideal balance between cutting efficiency and control. The handles, made from black walnut hardwood, are treated in a two-step process.

First, they are finished with boiled linseed oil to bring out the wood's natural beauty and to increase durability. Then, a glossy shellac finish is applied to seal the surface, resulting in a smooth and secure grip, as well as an elegant appearance.
