Frank Gamble Custom Handmade Hunting/Fighting Knife withSheath
Offered for sale is a Frank Gamble custom handmade fixed-blade hunting/fighting knife, hand-made in Fremont, California USA, probably circa 1970s or 1980s. Frank Gamble started making knives in 1965 and was admitted to the Knifemakers Guild in 1972. This knife features a stainless steel (probably 440c or ATS-34) clip-point blade, a nickel silver heavy duty double hilt, wood handle scales, and a Westinghouse micarta butt cap. The blade is 7-3/4" long and 1/4" thick at the hilt. The blade is tang stamped Gamble. The blade appears to be at least 99% intact and shows some evidence of light pitting in a few spots. The handle is in excellent condition, with no visible cracks or chips. The fit and finish is superb. The knife includes a high quality leather sheath.
This knife is very well made and will provide many years of service with proper care. Or, it would be right at home in a collection of custom knives.
